The origin of the Syngonium white plant is from Ecuador, Bolivia, Brazil, South America, the west indies and Mexico. Syngonium requires low to medium light and is very easy to grow. It is available in various shades of green, white, pink, purple, silver and cream, adding beauty to your living room.

It may be a bit difficult to produce flowers for the Syngonium plants indoors. 


Its greenish blooms appear like peace Lily blooms. These flowers turn into black or red cherries later.

Its small, ovate leaves turn into long, lobed Leaves when the plant matures. The colour and marking of the leaf also change from time to time. This plant does have Arrow shaped leaves that grow 5 to 14 inches long later in the initial stage.


Tips to care

  • Medium to low light is suitable for this plant, and it can also flourish in bright indirect light but don't expose it to direct sunlight. So provide it medium to lower light.
  • Keep the soil moist in the spring and summer seasons and slightly dry in the winter and fall seasons. But don't allow the soil to dry out completely. In the growing season, provide moderate watering, and in dormant season reduce watering. Since it is a semi-tropical wine, it prefers warm conditions and high humidity. The temperature should not go below 60 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Use a potting mix with good aerating capability and drainage system.
  • A balanced liquid fertilizer is good for this plant. Use it during the summer and spring seasons.
  • If you care for it properly, this plant will not face any pest or disease problems.
  • To prevent rotting of plant roots, scale on plants, colonies of spider mites, bacterial leaf spot, sap-sucking bugs, mealybugs and aphids use the right substrate.
  • To provide new growth and keep your plant compact and bushy, pruning is necessary. Always Wear gloves while pruning to avoid skin irritation due to the plant's sap.
  • Syngonium plants can be easily grown from a cutting in the growing season of a plant. Cut the section of stems with root nodes.
  • Place the stems in clean water to grow roots.
  • Refresh the potting soil in the spring season.
  • Syngonium plant is fast-growing, so repot it annually.
  • Reporting promote faster growth of the plant.
